Questions before you install
Do I have to switch AIs?
No. LMCP works with the AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and any other MCP client. One install serves all of them.
How is it different from the connectors my AI already has?
LMCP runs on your Mac or PC, not in your AI provider's cloud, and it uses the apps and accounts already signed in on your computer: no new passwords or API keys.
What access am I giving it?
You turn each app on or off. Sending a message or an email, and deleting anything, asks you to confirm first, and a log on your computer records every tool call LMCP makes.
